I just purchased a pair of almost new glass tops. These were on a 78 SA, owner took them off, put in storage, now they are mine. Excellent condition.
I am aware that what fits on one Corvette, does not necessarily fit on another. Using on my 79.
Problem is rear corners on each side. Fits in receiver fine, but tops on each side up above the roof line 1/4", both sides. The only remedy I see, is to set the pin receivers down another 1/4". Doing that may cause the other tops not to fit as good as they do now. Weatherstripping is in very nice condition, and I set in sun for a while to warm up.
Is there any adjustment here? They are sticking out a little, do not look that bad, but sure would be nice to see an even fit.
The regular tops fit very nice all around.
Any suggestions, I would appreciate. Anyone else have this problem? If I have to, I can live with it.

I know your problem,I got both sets with my Vette when I bought it,the stock fiber glass ones sit down flush all the way around, the glass ones both stick up on the outside ends. I've seen a lot of this, always wondered if there was any adjustment to them

Ron - Thanks for the info. I feel better now. I can adjust the centers by removing or adding the shims.
I do have an idea though. The painted tops need new rubber. If I take the left and right lock pin plates in the back, pull out, lower them about 3/16 to 1/4", then putting the painted tops back on with new rubber installed, (which the new rubber is going to make it stand a little taller), should be an even fit. Attach new glass tops, should be an even fit, because of the 1/4" ledge.
This may not correct it all the way, as the corners are still going to stick out.
Either way, I paid $690.00 for these like new correct M1131 LOF Blue tops with locks and correct bags.
