Vette(s): 1975 C3 Red, T-Tops, Black Interior. All I need is time and money! Getting there!

Barry, our roads are quite poor compaired to yours.  Lots a debris, stones, gravel, and lord know what else.  But a lot of crap comes up off of the roads.

As far as the fresh paint goes it depends on what kind of paint is used.   If it is evaporation cured, and the solvents need to evaporate, the cure time is too long.  The paint would need to age a bit before applying the compound.

But most of the new paints are chemically cured.  More like an epoxy.  Once the chemecial reaction is done, the paint is ready for anything.  A couple of days is generally all that is needed.
