I bought a used hood a few months ago to replace mine that has a crack in it.  This one is an original salvage hood.  Took it to the painter with the car on Sat. to check the fit and let him get a paint sample to match it.  As we looked we thought "some of these little scratches and rock chips on the front end are going to really look bad with a brand new hood.   And there is a place back here I would like you to look at".  Long, expensive story, short - I should get it back in about a month with an entirely new paint job. That's excatly why I don't check on having the scratch on the right rear fender of mine checked out. I knop I'd end up with a whole new paint job. At leaast the scratchscuff is on the other side - I almost never see it! LOL

Sounds something like watching a train wreck in slow motion!

Dennis...run over there and give ol' Tim a pinch...he's dreamin again!
Good luck with the timetable there, Tim ...but you know it will turn into one of them "Oh yeah, and while you're doing that..." thangs!
But then again...maybe not.

Until I met Donnie, our painter, I thought Tim was the most anal person I ever met.  Donnie makes Tim look like my blonde ex-wifeRolling%20On%20The%20Floor%20LaughingRolling%20On%20The%20Floor%20LaughingRolling%20On%20The%20Floor%20Laughing

This guy is so anal, he clocked the screws on my side pipe covers!!!

As I said, this dance was one very interesting deal indeedEvil%20Smile

I got the car back this afternoon.  The color is a little different than it was.  The paint distributor's redition of the fuel door is quite a bit different.  There is no way we could have just painted a part of it like that.  It is more of a blue-gray green with more metalflake than I had.  The paint job itself is great.  I will just have to live with the color a while to see if I like it.  I will start putting the insides back together tonight and just look at it for a while.  My employees all came out and looked at it and like it better than before. I don't like change much.

I will try to take some pics and post them tomorrow.
