When I recently changed my headlight bulbs, I had thrown the service switch to keep them up while the engine and lights were turned off.  They were up just fine.  However, the one on the driver's side could be pushed down/closed.  The one on the passenger side could not.

What's going on here?  I'm guessing you shouldn't be able to push either down, right?

The headlights have an "over center" type lock, meaning, once they are all the way up, one part of the linkage goes over center, effectively "locking" the door open. IF the door did NOT open all the way, then you can push it closed.
This could simply be that the one just didn't have enough vacuum/time to fully extend/lock, or it could meant that the linkage is slightly out of adjustment. It may also need to be lubricated...something most people NEVER think about.
IS this a problem that only happened the one time, or is it every time you raise the lights? IF it was just the one time, I wouldn't be concerned.

Do they operate normally now? Take a look under the car and make sure you have 4 springs connected to the 2 pins.
