Man, that looks good, Rodney! I can only hope mine looks that good when it's done! Keep up the good work!

Thanks for all the positive comments on the car from everyone. I cant wait to get this project put behind me. The truth is that I will be on this until next summer because of the budget. Have to wait to do the motor until late spring. The body was double what I had originally thought it would be.
Dean,
The rally wheels are going to be removed and new Cragar SS (from the 70 Era) wheels will be put on. But yes I do plan on completely stripping and painting the wheels sometime this winter.

I have to drop the tank once I get the car home so I can redo the inside of the rear vents and also replace the neck boot. I am hoping to find a sticker but I think its probably been out before so I probably wont find one. My bird cage was in good shape, however the windshield frame had some rust on the passenger corner. Jon did some cutting and welding there. It also had some pit holes across the top at a few places, but all is repaired now.
As for the egg crate side panels / Louvers it was one of the things I wanted to be really nice. I think that is what actually drew me to the 72 model year. I stripped the paint off of them using paint stripper. Then I soda blasted them to get anything else off i missed. I could have spent more time on them but soda blasting is very slow and I got tired of doing it! Once done Jon block sanded the edges with 400. Then I wiped them down with a cleaner / wax remover then they put 4 coats of paint on them. Let them sit overnite then block sanded them again with 400 to get the paint off the edges. Then they were clear coated with 3 coats. I could have done a little better but i think they turned out good. We did the same thing with the stainless trims that go just below the windshield where we painted, then untaped and clear coated the trims.
