was looking at one of those kits with the insulation and abs plastic logo piece for several hundred.  ended up getting a roll of self adhesive insulation on ebay for about 30 bucks and a 14" decal for 15.  trimming and fitting the insulation was a bit fiddly , but worked out pretty well in the end.  i used one of those dynamat rollers and a heat gun to gently work it in

That looks nice.  My concern would be that the engine heat would be too much for the decal adhesive, and I'd open the hood to find it draped over the air filter cover.😄

Vette(s): 1975 L48 Corvette Stingray convertible with hardtop, modified & restored, new medium cloisonne paint, interior, 350 cid 330 hp with TH700R4 automatic transmission 3:08 differential ratio, all power & ac and the underside. A very nice touring car.

Nice looking job! I hope the adhesive attached insulation stays adhered to the hood. There's a lot of heat generated under the hood more so during the hot summer months from sun exposure too.
