Today I went out to the shed and finished painting the gas tank. I replaced the gasket at the filler neck and hope to get it put in later tonight or tomorrow. I also put on the new exterior door handle and lock cylinder on the drivers side. I have to order some rod locks to do the passenger side so I will hopefully get that done this week. I am surprised how the look changes with each part I get put back on it. I would post pics but I left my camera battery charger at the beach so I ordered a new one but wont have it till sometime late this week. Maybe I can sneak the wifes camera. I should learn how to use my cell phone!

Kevin, I havent done anything yet but I have to replace mine before i can drive it again. I am leaning towards the one from entropy but i have decided if i just do a radiator or go with an electric fan system as well. money is getting tighter and fans are an extra 200+ dollars. Not sure if thats needed.

Latest update,
So far its been a good weekend. I've gotten the Tank back in and tightened down, all the fuel hoses in the back replaced. I got all the rear lights in and working and I rewrapped the rear harness. Didnt like that job! I put the antenna on the rear quarter, Installed the anti theft alarm horn and lock cylinder. It actually works if I ground the system so I'll have to trouble shoot the remaining system. But at least I know the wiring in the back is good. I've got the rear valance in place and have all the rear bumper brackets in place so tomorrow I hope to put the bumpers on. Then the only thing left in the back body I think will be the Spare tire carrier, exhaust bezels and license bezel. I hope to get the passenger door handle and lock cylinder done tomorrow as well.
I'll try to get pics up this week.

Update: Today I got the rear bumpers mounted and I put on the exhaust bezels. Waiting for license bezel screws that I will order tomorrow along with many other things. I had my first oops as I had a crack appear when tightening up the bumper. I think I can repair and make it ok. Luckily it is down inside the bumper area just above the mount on the corner. I put some super glue in the crack, painted over it with a touch up brush and will 2000 wet sand and compound it. The crack is only about an inch long.I polished the bumpers and bezels with chrome polish as I am doing that with everything as I go. Really looks good I think. Hopefully my camera battery charger will get here tomorrow so I can take some pics to post. Next stop going to the front grills and bumpers!

Easy boy.....sorry about that oops. How did they line up?
Not to long ago I held a "Loctite" training class, and went to lunch with the rep, we got on the subject of car restorations. He restores old Jags, anyhow I asked what should be used on restore and he said that he highly recomends the removable loctite. Two reasons, one of course it helps from loosening up, and second he said it will stop the threads from rusting keeping the hardware just like new.

Everything lined up great and looks good on. All the bolts, washers, nuts are new. I just have tomove on. No use crying over it now! I think the reason it happened is because where the inside bracket touching the rear Panel there is a lot fiberglass so the bracket doesnt sit flush with the body. I may decide to grind that down when I remove the bumper to repair the outer side. To bad I dont have a sharpie the color of my paint!
