We have received a lot of negative feedback about Al Knoch in the last couple of years.  We send people to Premier Upholstery in Rogers, MN (763-424-4693).  I don't know where they get there's, but they might tell you if you call.  They are closed today, or I would call them and post their source.

Premier installed mine in the spring of '04 (highly recommend them).  I had already bought the top kit and was looking for a place to have it installed.  Most of the places I talked to initially wouldn't consider doing the job until I mentioned that the kit was from AKI.  Something must have happened pretty quick to change the tune on AKI as they were "the darling" of the interior/top world at one point in time.

In my opinion, you need to clarify what you mean.  With all respect, Al Knoch is one of your competitors.  Define "a lot of negative feedback."  Are folks complaining about the quality of the product or their own inability to install what they've purchased?

Good comment.  I should have clarified.  AKI is not a competitor, but a supplier.

In any case, I called Premier this morning.  They still recommend AKI tops.  They say there is a trick to getting the installation right, but they feel AKI is still the best top.

And as I check our notes, I find the complaints have been mostly about seat covers.  AKI says they are investing in upgrades to re-establish themselves as the best at all Corvette interiors.

So I stand humbly corrected.
