I believe you should just be able to tighten the bolts on the spring ends and raise the car. I am not 100% sure on an 82, but I believe your rear spring is not that different from mine.

It all depends on how much thread you have left on your adjuster bolts, you may have to get new bolts

Take a stack of fender washers same dia as lower spring cushion, 1" tall one stack for each side and place each stack between the nut and lower spring cushion, then check rear camber, circa 1960-70's.anips38635.6142476852

The washers will work fine.  Just make sure to coat them to stop rust, and don't use anything that will attack rubber.

So.Do I lossen them or tighten them?I guess either way I would have to keep track of how many revoloutions I make to each bolt.I also suppose I need to jack up the car also.

You tighten the bolts up,stack the washers on the lower side of the spring and tighten the bolt up.all you are doing is making the bolt shorter, yes you will have to jack the car up. Is the spring in your Vette a new or old one ? If its old, you'd probably be better off replacing it.If the spring is straight  across with no arch to it,it's worn out and time to replace it

Ok,Ron I gottcha. My spring looks real good.Car only has 38,000 miles on it however the spring issue would be more years than miles.I've thought about changing the spring but I'm cought in the middle of staying orignal or not.The car is pretty much untouched.Paint interior, engine ect. is all org.The one thing that makes me think of changing springs is that the car has the gymkana option.I've been thinking that if I do change the spring of going with the glass one. What do you think?

You got me thinking real hard on changing out the spring.Just looking at mine it looks like it weighs a ton!!!And by looking at your Vette it sits just like I want mine,of course maybe a good old fashend redneck rake might be in orderI'm just getting tired of scraping my exhaust on stuff and about an inch would do the trick.I mean I have to be careful of road kill!!!
