Vette(s): 1972 conv, 4-speed, 350, 200hp, numbers match, rally wheels, war bonnett yellow w/white top. good condition, nice driver.

From what I have read and researched, I have come to the conclusion that convertibles had astro venting unless it was an AC car. Now as you know I could be proven wrong on the next car we look at or read about. I am still not 100% sure on the correct operation of the astro venting yet but I hope to have it down soon! Rich I believe I sent you a web address that had alot of information about this in it. I will have to dig it back up and check it again.

I went out the garage and looked under my car. I did not see any tubes on the drains for the deck lid. Course with the spare tub and exaust in the way it was hard to see up in there. I know they drain well, no gook, and the water exit near the frame. SOOOOO, Do I have a RED HEADED Step-Child car or not?
Mark, Take a flash light and look down into your vents if possible. The vents are at the outsides and if convertible seem to be in the very bottom corner and if coupe they are in the side corners. Of course we are talking about vettes so you never know what you might find.

Mark you crack me up! Is your nickname Red? I wouldn't worry about where your vent tubes are as long as they drain and are not clogged up..the tubes we are looking for are not for the conv top cover..but the grates on the trunk for the Astro vent..right above the tank..might have to remove a grate and see where they really go and if there are tubes there at all..at least the post wasn't to long this time..hope the fingers are ok..

As I said in a previous reply, my grates go to the open. Can see to the ground. The only DRAINS I have are for the deck lid. SORRY if I messed up the thread. I am not worried, just tryin to help someone else. The fingers, I have to replace the band-aids at least once a day, but they will heal.
[QUOTE=rod7515]Barry, its also taking you along time to post pictures. And I thought I was slow!
