A candy apple is absoulutly beutiful when its perfect, but if it gets chipped or scratched its impossible to touch up. Every candy apple car I've seen thats not a total trailer queen shows all kinds of blemishes even if a valiant effort was made to touch it up.Tumarr38386.3998726852

I agree with Tumarr about the Candy Apple, IMHO any Candy color is gorgeous !

Since it seems that you don't care about orgininality, why pick such a common color ? Hey it's your car, your choice

Just to add another twist to the tale, i was recently on a local Corvette shops web site and they were displaying prices for body work that looked reasonable, and as i use this place for parts a lot i thought i would give them a try.

The guy estimated it would be between $1400-$1600 to do the car or at least that what i thought he said at first. i then realized he said $14,000 to $16,000

You have to be joking, i have seen the work that comes out of the shop and it is excellent, but no way is it worth $16,000, for god sake it's only a little old Corvette. (no offense guys)

Oh well it was worth a try i suppose !

A buddy of mine back in high school got his car painted at Earl
Scheib. He wanted black, they didn't have it. Red? Sorry, no can
do. He ended up with a aqua Bonneville. Yech
