Vette(s): 77 lost along the way/ 73 4spd coupe, just purchased and in process of resto.

Got around opening mine..... big star in the middle.

Contacted seller  . . . sending another

Didn't want to take it all the way out so DHL can see the damage in the box.

Wasn't home when delivered ..  try again

Update on my windshield.  Talked with PS autoglass, sending another and advised that there are two types for the period 72&pre and 73&later.  He advised they sent the wrong one will send correct bottom design.  The guy seemed cool, will wait and see.

Big success, the correct un-damaged windshield arrived today, opened it while the DHL Driver was present.  Unique twist, I was home in the afternoon after a root canal, didn't know the package was arriving.  Ahhhh the luck......

This PSautoglass really performed!!!

Same here.. got mine Mon, and only problem had a mount on windshield for a mirror, which I don't need, but they told me how to take it off... it will be installed tomorrow.. finally... might get it all together. Now I just need the  Strip Calk to seal the Header trim...

Be VERY careful removing that mirror mount.  Every one I've ever tried to remove has ended up with getting another new windshield...!!!

Windshield is in and now just need the sealer for the header... 3M Strip Caulk . total cost without my labor of repairing header.

windshield....  140 (e-bay)

Remove old windshield/replace new.....  125

sealant.........   20

Also replaced all the trim inside (header and pillars were rotten), refinished center gage cluster, and center console (painted, put on new emblems and replaced all the old gage lenses, dyed the dash. Buffed the windshield chrome/stainless trim Slow process, but gotta admit it does look better and it wasn't that bad to begin with.. the little lady thought I was crazy...

still need to get the mirror mount off... windshield too cold to try heat

anyone know a good releasing agent for mirror epoxy?

Hey Cruzn. Glad things are going well for you. You could try Acetone. it cuts most anything gas won't. although the best advise would come from someone who has removed it before. Terry
