I have a 77 and my t tops have leaked over the years which has rusted my floor pan on both the drivers side and passengers side of the car. Is there a company out there that makes a stamped pan for both side or should I cut one out of another vette problem with that is I cant find one that looks much better than mine or have one fabricated I would want to make sure the carpets would still fit right with a fab job. What do you think the best plan would be.

Corvette Central has them in their catalog. Also the last few years (80-82?) were galvanized so if you find one of them you could cut one out.

I called corvette central yesterday to inquire about obtaining floor pans for my '76 vette. They advised they do not have any yet but anticipate getting them soon from a company that is supposed to start making them soon. They advised I call back in several weeks toi see if they have them yet. I was advised the expected cost will be about $250 each.

Instead, I am going to tack weld some steel masonry mesh (used for parging walls) to the good steel in the car. The mesh is easily molded to fit the contours of the floor pan. Then I will cover that with a heavy fiberglass cloth wetted out with fiberglass resin. Then a finish coat of fiberglass and it should be good and strong.
