Well Ive finally got the body guy that did my body work to come back out so I can finish the weather trims, window seals and other things that need taken care of. Probably could do these myself except for time and patience! Well Friday he needed to look at another car (convertible) to see how things need to go back together. So I called my good friend Rich who actually drives his car on a daily basis! Rich allowed me to have him come look at his car at his work. Thanks Rich, he said it helped him. He also got to talked to Rich for a while. I ask him how Rich was and he said hes another "vette guy"! Wonder what that means?Rolling On The Floor Laughing Now, I need help in finding some good side window seals. I bought a set last fall but they didnt fit very well and the right one tore when he put it on. I am looking at Paragon because I hear they have good quality. The problem is the pictures are terrible so I dont know exactly what I need. I am on vacation this week so I need to order parts and have them shipped home so he can put them on this week. I see they have inner seals and outer seals. I didnt buy two sets before but maybe I should have. I plan on calling Paragon Monday morning and getting what ever they say I need but wanted to hear from what you guys think I will need. I cant wait till this is all behind me and Im actually driving this car!
Oh, BTY, im copying and saving this since its so long and I keep reading about issues posting!

I bought mine from Ecklers and they were a good fit. Requires some finessing buy take your time and they will work out nicely. I used all new mounting screws as well. It was a bit nerve racking with the new paint, I will admit!! Wink

There are inner & outer seals for the doors, to seal the door glass, normally called "whiskers". One set is fastened to the door itself(outside), and the other set is fastened to the door panel, on the inside.
Those are the only ones that would be labeled as "Inner/Outer" on the weatherstripping.

Joel, Since I am away for the next week and need to get them shipped home I am assuming that the inner seal is probably on the new door panels that I bought. If not I could add them when I put the panels on later? I guess I should just order the outer seals for now.
Thanks
Rodney

Depends on what door panels you ordered. They come in differing levels of completeness. Some are just the basic panels with no trim at all, OR you can get them completely trimmed out with all of the bells & whistles....so....ya might wanna look, but yes, you can do  them later, if needed...even the outer door seals. No gluing involved with those, just drilling out the old rivets/removing screws, and replace in reverse. Adams' Apple2011-08-08 10:17:58
