Not sure if this has been addressed-probly has..My right pass.side headlight door pops rite up,but my left/drivers side one 1st takes alittle while to respond,& when it does,it comes up very slowly. What should I check on this, the hoses? |headscratch|

Vette(s): 1974 Convertible - Unrestored, numbers matching Corvette.
It’s probably the actuator or actuator relay. You can get a vacuum gauge and run some diagnostics. I usually switch the vacuum hoses around so the right relay controls the left actuator, etc. Once you isolate the problem you can replace the defective part.

You're lucky that it's only one side - makes it easier to figure out where the problem is!

I had this on both of mine. The drivers sides was notably slower, but both were pretty bad.

Mine turned out to be the relay's and not the actuators.

Good luck!

Vette(s): 1982 Collector Edition, color is silver/beige.
Your description of the problem also could potentially be the actuator rubber boot cover on the actuator arm. If it is ripped or has a hole in it you will lose vacuum pressure. The kit is cheap and is easy to change except removing the actual actuator to get to it. I had to remove mind by passing the actuator through the front grill of the car past the turn signal light. The reason for this was because I was afraid of scratching the top of the hood trying to remove it between the car body and the hood. Good luck!
