My 1979 is all stock and will stay that way. It has the original paint, interior and motor. My plan is to have it certified as a Survivor. Click on the link below for a pic.

Vette(s): 1974 Stingray coupe; 2nd-Year One crate engine 408/408
2000 DBGM C5 coupe: Stock
My wife's 74 is going to be restored to stock on the outside, but everything under the hood had rotted away or was becomming non-functional. The guy we bought her from had replaced the engine with a stronger one, but not strong enough to suit my wife. We gave that engine to another C3VR member who had it transplanted into her vette. We bought an A&R Racing 350/400 SB. We had a heavy duty 700R4 tranny made for it too. All the suspension, both front & rear has been replaced with high performance parts from Van Steel. All the bushings were cracked. They were all replaced with urethane. She had whatever the stock exhaust was that exited from the rear. That was replaced with Hooker comp sidemount headers & sidepipes. The vette originally had AC but the former owner removed it as well as most of the ducting. We are putting a new AC system in that we got from Hot Rod air.
Let's see... Every component that was part of the old engine is being replaced with something new & improved. A BeCool radiator w/dual fans, new alternator, water pump, ignition system... The original steering column is getting replaced with a tilt/tele column & all the steering components are being replaced with Steeroids.
I don't know what plans my wife has for the interior other than having new black leather covers put on the seats & upgrading the audio system. The 74 goes to have its paint put on when it comes back next month. Its going to be painted dark bowling green metallic.
I'll post some pics when I get a chance.

Vette(s): 1975 Coupe NOM 350: Edelbrock 64cc heads, QJet clone, Performer manifold & cam, gear drive and water pump; MSD ProBillet dist and 6A box, Comp rollers, Hedman headers into true duals, Magnaflow cans,TH400 w/shift kit, TT2's, 3.70RA, hi-rise hood
Most mods under the hood ... to make a 75 L48 run like a midyear. (She does)
Exterior mods are few and functional: high-rise hood, TT2's, stainless exhaust tips.
Most unstock component: Paint. Base/Clear system in a red color that was created to my spec.
All was planned. My ride, my way.
Your ride, your way!!

Mine started (it's life with me in 1992) plain Jane.
L-48 with NO mods what so ever.
Now....body is totally modded and have replaced the engine....so the ''numbers'' no longer match...but not a big deal for me..I don't plan on ever selling it.

As the original owner of my 77 Vette, I have only changed the radio and the clock (quartz). Otherwise it
is as stock as the day I bought it. Prefer it that way.

I have a 1978 pace car with 7000 miles on it. Father-in-law bought it new and still had seat plastic on it. Unfortunately, he left it sit under a tarp for 9 years and it needs some work.
My inclination is to make it looks as stock as possible, but add updated/modern exhaust system, stereo, suspension system, headers, etc...

Monza Red
My 69 is all stock, but when I bought it 10 years ago the original engine was long gone, plus the engine in the car ran like crap...so in went a ZZ-4...Love it.

As for the question I have 72LT1, I'm trying to make it and keep as original as I can. BUT on my next VETTE....wow
