Vette(s): 1977 L-82 originally white/buckskin interior. Currently undergoing a frame-off resto. and modifications.YEEHAW!!!
I'm currently in the middle of a frame-off resto. It started out as me wanting to return the car to original, but, That would have been a first for me. So far, I have the Steeroids system for it, a 67-style stinger hood, and a ZR-1 style rear bumper cover also.

The engine will turn out to be a 383 stroker, with GMPP fast burn heads, and possibly a Vortech supercharger system.

The vette was originally white, but when I bought her, it was black lacquer. I think I'll be going with black, after seeing the sweet picture of LakotasRose's bitchin black goddess.

Don't ya love it when the speed demons tempt you?

I love all vettes, trailer queen, beat up survivor, or wild to mild customs. And that's my 2 cents. Later y'all.

I spent four years restoring a Green/Green 69 350 Coupe to original condition only to have it stolen by some a**hole. So when I decided to start over I went with a BB and even though it is numbers and date code matching.. I am not worried about keeping it original, I keep all the original parts, if someone wants it original after I'm dead they can change it all back. I don't think I enjoyed my last 69 nearly as much, this one is for fun.

That is the most unique front end I have seen that wasn't ugly. It's kind of neat. Not for me, but I like it. That could be the next presidential limo, except someone else would be driving.

I agree with Ken. did you do that or was it like that when you purchased it?
mine was all original when bought it 5+ yrs ago. wasn't concerned about that. it was the right price, the right time and I was at the right place. I've made very few mods, but what has been replaced is kept in labled bags. all my mods will be mechanical. the body will stay stock. I like the neat clean lines. no frill for me. you guys have some beautiful cars both stock and custom. to each his own. it would be boring if we were all the same.

Thanks |wink| Actually they're just a set that I pick up at my local Murray's store. It's like a AutoZone. These pics are about three years old and I have since put on my true duals and flowmasters |thumb| The tips come straight out the back now, and are still chrome. I've got to get some updated photos posted soon because I've made some other changes too |thumb|

Well It's my first post here, just picked up 1980 torch red/white vette. Right now its totally stock and has seen years of abuse. So..... next week the facelift will begin with a fresh BB 402 and all new brake lines and calipers and we'll see how the rest of the drivetrain holds up.

Vette(s): 1974 base t-top driver
Like many here, I began with a car that was both far from stock (replacement engine, extensive body work, etc.) and not very unique in itself (1974 L48 coupe). My goal is to make it my daily driver (for me that averages 500 miles per week) and gas prices not being the same as 1974 I am making gas mileage and drivability/comfort my driving force (e.g.,working toward a tpi/overdrive system; sound system; air; late model or aftermarket seats). It will not be original but it will definately be on the road.

I have to go with what drdon10 said. My 75 L48 is a number's matching car, but I have decided to make it into something that will maintain the look of the original car, but make it more fun to drive. I've spent the winter working on fixing all the small problems of a 30 year old car, but now I'm looking at improving the drivetrain, stereo, wheels, and seats.
