Ok guys here's the situation. I bought a badly beat up '78 for my 19th birthday, with plans of making it a nicely customed hot rod with the additional bonus of being a babe magnet. I am trying to find any place that will make custom fiberglass. I've emailed a few places, and lots of people are willing to get me a new front end, but nobody seems to want to try making a rear end with wheel wells 2 inches wider on both sides. Any ideas? Suggestions? Commets?

There are ways to "flare" the rear wheel wells. A custom body shop should be able to give you anything you would want. Back in the late sixties and early seventies there was an entire cottage industry dedicated to flaring and modifying Corvettes in this manner. They were styled after the race cars of the time. Call around to some of the hotrod shops in your area. These guys are still around somewhere. Also look around at the major Corvette swap meets. In 1969 GM sold over the counter a group of parts known as Daytona kits. These consisted of rear wheel well flares, a headlight replacement kit, and side pipes made by Hooker for GM along with other go fast goodies. These parts were the basis for early daytona and sebring race cars. Some times you can find a set of flares if you know what you are looking for.

Try Vanacorvette.com. They make a lot of body parts and kits, reasonable too. I would also suggest good ol' E-Bay some one is always selling some thing of use.I've got a lot from "E" for my `69 Vette sport wagon.

Vettewagon? You have pictures of your car? I've seen the generic pics from back in the day when I guess the wagon conversion was hot.
