I've got one for you all. I recently purchased a 74 coupe, originally a big block & auto. (This isn't my first, but it has been almost 30 years. I had a 66 and a 74 back then.) Anyway, the serial number shows a March build date and the trim tag shows a March date (H06). That all matches but, while the interior matches (407 Silver Leather, until someone tried to paint it black) the exterior code is 74L which is a 1975 exterior code for dark metallic red (which under the yellow it appears to be).
The motor and tranny are long gone so it will never be numbers matching - I just plan to make it a driver - but it just got me wondering if anyone else had seen mix and match trim tag codes.

Well, with the half year stuff that happened later 77E and 77L I wouldn't be surprised if a few rolled off the assembly line in the colours of the next year, pilots maybe?
Good place to check would be the "Corvette Black Book"

My 74 Conv has a trim tag with 407 74L and a build (G26) date of Feb 26. It is med red with silver leather interior. Unlike yours my big block & munci M21 are still in the car. It think the 74L is a good color code for a 74. Not sure why you think it is a 75 color.
