Vette(s): 1982 C3 Collectors Edition 44000 miles, sat in the sun most of its life, My wife purchased it for me for Father's Day in 2007 from her girlfriend that had it for 19 years. It is on the road again. I'm retired but it is now my daily driver.
Looked in my 1982 Corvette Assembly Manual I got from Corvette America page 220 has the locations for the rack holes. Hope this helps. If you do not have an assembly manual let me know and I will scan this page into a PDF for you. Looking at the drawing closely I think you will need me to make some measurements for you also. Let me know.
Everybody if you see one of these on ebay or some place please PM me and let me know. I got holes I want to have the option of putting something into.

I'll leave the last sentence alone.
I found mine on ebay. Took more than a year. I wanted the black rack and the colored ones (red, blue) were all that were coming up.
I'll keep an eye out. If you are a registered member of ebay, you can set up a "watch" that will trigger on key words.

What was the key word that you used to get notified?

It took me almost 18 months to find mine - periodically I would visit all the corvette sites and just list it as "1980 t-top carrier" I fibnally found the one I got after I was contacted by a fellow who had an "in the box" one - it was a $125.00 option in 1980 but he was $500.00 plus shipping firm on the price. I tried to deal but he held tough.
