I know people are looking for these from time to time so I thought I'd let people know about this auction, looks to me like a complete set but what do I know.  I think the seller might have got the dates wrong though, I've never heard of a T-Top carrier for 78-79 Vettes, I could be wrong though.

Wow I should really read the auction before posting this stuff Big%20smile Still sounds like a great carrier but he is missing washers and nuts which I believe could be replaced easily.  Interesting part is that his Vette was stolen thats why he never used the carrier Confused

What a deal! I guess you'd have to have an OEM luggage rack for them to fit though?

I know the voices aren't real, but they have some pretty cool ideas...

Vette(s): 1982 C3 Collectors Edition 44000 miles, sat in the sun most of its life, My wife purchased it for me for Father's Day in 2007 from her girlfriend that had it for 19 years. It is on the road again. I'm retired but it is now my daily driver.
Thanks for the heads up.  I have some holes in my CE these would fit into.

That's the optional V54 roof top carrier for the 80-82 big back window cars.  It was not a Corvette option for 78 and 79, but would fit.  Looks like a good one at a good price.

FWIW:  the '80 AIM has a diagram for drilling the mounting holes on the rear deck.  For 80-82, the holes and well nuts for this option were done at the factory.  The actual rack hardware was shipped in the rear storage area with car.  All the earlier metal racks were dealer installed with the exception of the '77 models.

Vette(s): 1980 with a Banks Twin Turbo 1969 Convert Big Block 1996 Grand Sport Convert

It is also missing the Bag that came with it to store all the Parts when not in use. Some 80 to 82's came with it from the factory but it was still sold over the Parts Counter. Most People Cringed at Drilling 1/2" or bigger Holes in the Rear Deck to Mount it. The Screws that go in the Rear Deck are Plastic and Crack Easy. No seperate Parts were ever Sold. When the unit is mounted and used it Giggles a bit and the Rubber Pads Mar the Paint and You need to Buff it out a bit when Your done. Clear coat Paint might be much better. This unit was made in Canada.
