Vette(s): 1982 C3 Collectors Edition 44000 miles, sat in the sun most of its life, My wife purchased it for me for Father's Day in 2007 from her girlfriend that had it for 19 years. It is on the road again. I'm retired but it is now my daily driver.

I have four what look like plug-in connectors on the back of my 1982 C3 CE.  If I did this correctly you will see the pictures by clicking on the below links.

I colored them red so you could see it a little easier.  My question is what are they for.

I’m thinking a luggage rack but not sure because it would have to be removed to open the glass hatch.  If it is a luggage rack does anyone have a picture of one or even have one they would like to sell.

This C3 has only 44K miles on it.  The original owner had it for 3 years and put 9K miles on it.  So I’m sure it was a factory or dealers options but what it is I have know idea for sure.

IT definitely had a T-Top carrier at one time, tho it prolly wasn't meant for use on the CE. I have seen them on the cars...may have a pic, but not sure. I'll look this eve. I've also seen some for sale in the NCRS Driveline in the past. They ain't cheap!

Yep. Pic above shows the carrier installed on the rear deck. AIM has dimensions for the hole locations.

The carriers were optional and are difficult to find in good shape. Basically, they are black plastic, four pieces, thumb screws for mounting, straps, and a black vinyl bag to carry it in.

Yep.  Seller has parts of it upsidedown in the pics, but that's the real thing.  Should also have a black vinyl carry bag.

$88 is a very, very good price for these things.

DNV bought his on EBAY as well.  Must have been from a Collector car because the vinyl bag is the collector bronze. 71Shark2007-12-26 16:01:20

Went for $227.50.  Mine has a bag that matches the color of a CE.

I used it all the way from OKC to the museum and back.  They vibrate slightly over 75, but I use them all the time.
