Vette(s): Just finished 2 years of Blood, Sweat, & Tears restoring my 69 Coupe. Crimsom Red, 427, vacuum removed, Shot of Steeroids, Killer Lights, 5 Speed, still working on small things but she is back on the road.
Well, I got my body back from the Media Blasters and it was a mess. All 4 wheel wheels had been cut. After listening to the advise from all of you I decided to replace the rear quarter panels and just put on a new front cap. The front was cracked bad anyway. Being I'm only 40 miles from Ecklers I bought all my parts from them. Since I have decided to install the Killer Lights I will also replace the hood with the long L-88 style and remove the vacuum for the wipers as well. I order a perfect fit air condition from Classic Auto Air in Tampa. So I had a lot of fire wall mending to do to get it clean. I hope to prime the fire wall this week and get the front cap mounted.
I posted some pictures for review if you want to take a look. I posted them in reverse order but I'll do better next time. Here is the link. http://photobucket.com/albums/v505/jamesbglass/69%20Corvette%20Restore/

I certainly hope so if the money and my wife's patience hold out. Not sure which one is going to exhaust first.

You have been very busy up to this point. Are you doing this in your home garage? It looks like you have a nice setup in your garage with the press and sandblast cabinet. Keep the pics coming. It is nice to see the work unfolding. Make sure to take lots of digital photos. You will never have the chance to take these shots again since the car will not be apart like this again. You will never fill a computer hard drive up with them. I have several thousand pics of my vette and it has not been nearly apart as yours.

Keep up the good work. |thumb|

No I'm not in my home garage doing this part. Up to now I have done all the work in my garage. I decided there would be so much dust and noise so I had to find a nother place to do this part. I'm using a buddy of mine shop. He has done a ton of fiber glass work and offered to help. He has really taught me a lot about working with glass and painting. I'm off the next 2 weeks so I really hope to make some major progress with it before the grind starts again after the 1st.
