Well "in and done".
Getting the old one off was easier than I thought. I just pulled it off in pieces and then ground off the screws on the body.
The hardest part was cutting out the holes for the licence plate lights in the new one.
Anyway thanks again Joel for giving me the confidence to try this. The car looks 100% better.

I made a template out of thin cardboard, traced it onto the cover(s), and drilled a few small holes. Then I used a dremmel with a rotary file to get the finished shape. Of course....I did this AFTER the covers were painted....
