ok, i checked my hoses at the actuator and i do have vacuum, but how much am i supposed to have?? also, where can i get one of those vacuum gauges? thanks again guys

you can get a gauge/pump at autozone or any other parts place.

I am not sure what you are trying to check but for the many vacuum systems on these vettes, I would sugest buying a hand vacuum pump at the same time as the gauge. The hand pump will allow you to test parts of the system without running the engine and also to isolate sections for testing. Simple to use, I found lots of leaks or marginal components with mine.
