Went to the paint shop this morning and brought the vette home. Took it off the trailer and straight into the garage. now the fun of putting things back on the car begins. My first thought is to mount my tires on the cragar ss wheels and see if I like them. If so I guess I will order 2 more to complete the set. I told the painter to plan on coming to the house to do a better job of detailing and buffing the new paint. He was a little weak on his performance in that area. The paint is great but he missed some spots on the finished detail! I will get some pics this weekend of the finished color. I plan on putting the hood back on just to get a few pics. Looks rough with the old wheels and no hood.
Oh yea, I think the wife is a little jealous of how much attention I am giving to the new younger "babe" in the family!!

I may have to venture down there to take a look! I still can't believe that it is almost done! You going to be around this weekend?

Make a list of all of the spots you see on the car that need the painter's attention as you see them. If ya don't, you'll forget to tell him where they are...btdt...
Gotta see some pics!

Umm Rod,.....Dean does have a point.....loose the red marker. Take some photos each side, front back, doors hood what ever then mark up the photos. Count how many spots and confirm that count to the photos. As he completes each one check them off the list. (that would be a punch list..)
Sorry about the wife thing.....not sure if we can help you with that.....just remember what happened to the last couple that owned the car

Whats wrong with the marker method! It worked good the first time. Cant wait to help you guys mark your spots!!
As for the wife thing I really didnt think about the previous owners when I told her that.
We put the hood and top deck on today. Supposed to have the painter coming back on Monday to redo the detail work. I want to start putting some chrome back onit but dont want to do that before he completes his job.

Rod, is the a base/clear paint system? If so, the clear coat is very forgiving and your painter should be able to work out any trouble spots...
