Ecklers only has the entire hood not the scoop...but it is on sale.

Here's another possible...cheaper.
Appears to not being made for 68 to 72 C3's because of the wiper door.

The later style hoods will fit the early cars. You do have to eliminate the troublesome wiper door set-up, tho. Otherwise, they will fit and work fine.

I went with an after market L88 hood on mine and it lined up like a factory hood. Even the same shims and bumpers - AND I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!

So I guess if I want the stinger hood look I have to change to a newer longer hood that eliminates the wiper door. Darn! I didnt want to do that. And I guess I would have to find a hood that already has the scoop on it because no one makes a stinger scoop alone. I already bought another hood so I need to find a scoop to fit on that one. Suggestions?
Thanks

Saw a few places that have the L-88 hood scoop if that might interest you, Rod.

Rod, why would you want to mess with that paint job? If I hadn't already painted mine I'd look but not now. Better not to mess with something that's already nice! But that's your call!

Barry

Wouldnt have to mess with the paint job, but just paint the new hood / scoop to match. Have plenty of the paint left over but it looks like it wont happen since it may require the removal of the wiper door. Of course since I dont have it on yet who knows.
Only time will tell now.

What really makes the whole "Stinger" hood work is the bulge down the center of the hood. Without that, all you have is a Cobra-Jet scoop on a Corvette hood.
Yup...same basic design as the Cobra Jet scoop ion the Musturds of the late '60s.
