I am having a tough time finding the "correct" wiper blade replacement for my '76. The Anco catalog said the size was "16", so I bought ones that were part # "31-16". They snap right on and look right, but then I read somewhere online that they may sit too high on the glass, and hit the hood when in use. I have not yet tested that.
Because of what I read, however, I went and also bought Anco P-16-B online, which claim to be for this car. When the blades showed up, they have a connector on the end that does not match the one on my car (it is the pin style).
Can anyone please post part numbers that they use, or, confirm if the first ones that I bought the (31-16's) are ok?
It blows my mind that this car is not "that" old, and yet finding wipers for it are a huge challenge. It's even more frustrating when the blasted wipers are just for inspection, as I won't be driving it on rainy days!! Lol.
Greetings, I am not sure, but most of the "Authorized" Corvette parts distributors will no doubt have the CORRECT part that will not hit the hood.
Thank you for the reply- Although you are most-likely correct, I am grappling a bit with having to go to a Corvette supplier for simply wiper blades, lol.
I did find these though, so I have ordered a set. We'll see how well they match up. They are just the inserts, so I can use the OEM wipers:

The inserts arrived today. I had to carefully bend 2 of the tabs on the OEM blade assy to get the original insert out, but it finally came out. I could not figure out any other way to remove the insert otherwise. I pinched the tabs back snug once the new insert was in.
Hope this helps others.
