Got my headlamp relays in and went to install them. in the manual it looks like they bolt up to a bracket which my car is missing. What the heck is this bracket called and where are they sold. Is this a used only part?

I guess if you don't ask the right question you can't expect the right answer. The vacuum relays are now lying on the valance as there is nothing to bolt them to. I looked at another 80 at a show the other night and there was a bracket on the underside of the nose. Thats the one I'm missing.

Thanks

I was thinking more along the lines of a relayanator, at least that will keep the parts guy busy

Ron I'm stumped as well. When I got the car the former owner who was 80 years old told me up front that the lights didn't go up and down. He had taken the car to gas station up in Palm Beach for repair and they couldn't fix them. He handed me the old relays. I got new ones in and went to install them and there was nothing to mount them to. Like I said I looked at another 80 this past weekend and there was a bracket up under the nose and I have none. Can't even find a picture of one at any of the the usual parts suppliers. Pretty much everything with the car is OK - But these Headlights is makin me nuts.

I have an 82. My assembly manual shows a bracket attached to each of the relay valves. Each bracket has two holes for mounting directly to the reinforcement front end panel assembly which is attached to the underside of the nose. The number of the relay valve asm in my book is 5638427.
If you have a fax number, I can send you the page.

Mike,
I tried the number twice and got a voice saying Hello.
Please verify the number.
