Upon removing the passenger door weather-strip on my 68 coupe I notice that there is a seam/gap in the weather-strip at the bottom of each door. Is the stock weather-strip comprised of two individual pieces?

The new weather-strip is one long piece connected to the front and rear sections of the door by a tab and screw arrangement. Do I need to cut the new stripping or attach it to the door as a single unit?

Also I have a question concerning anti-rattle felts. The doors on my car were 'worked on" at some time in the past and the anti-rattle felt pads are missing. Could someone indicate where they attach to the window/door frame? I checked all the literature in my possession and on line but cannot locate a clear diagram indication where they mount.

Thanks for the help.

The felt is glued to metal mounting bracket that are held on with one bolt.  You will find two slotted holes on the top of the door.  The slots allow the felts to be pushed toward or away from the glass to adjust positon.

Most of the weather strips were one piece, but were often glued into one piece by the factory.  If you have good set they should fit as they are.

AIM shows installation of the anti-rattle fuzzies.  If memory serves, original '68 door main weatherstrip might have been two peices.  All the reproduction weatherstripping is one piece.  I put the one-piece door mains on my '68 without any problems.

The early cars(up to around '72-'73, I think) did indeed have a "split" in the w-strip at the bottom, center of the doors. The one-piece w-strip will fit/function just fine.
