I have to concur on wire wheels being a major PITA

I finally found a couple of internet sites that sell boyd coddinton wheels relatively affordable (notice i didnt say cheap)

this is the one im looking at either in 17x8 or 18x8 with chevy pattern and 4 inch backspace.

or these

btw.. with the last one.. they are directional. ie the rims are different for left and right side.

I plan on using 255/50r17 (27.04") or 255/45r18 (27.04)

255/60/15 are 27.05" ...
215/70/15 (closest to original f70/15) is 26.85
anyone got any pitfalls they want to relate..

any tire brand recommendations.. (no mickey's, no hoosiers)

im looking at these

for 17"
and these

and flush mount valve stems..
