I bought mine from Corvette Central. Price was a lot lower then, maybe about 135 each? Anyway, maybe try Vette Products of Michigan. Here's a link: http://www.vetteproducts.net/product.htm

Vette Products had the replacement rocker channels I used for $125 each. The are not the same as the originals and are listed as repair rocker channels. They come in 3 parts, RH and LH channels and front and rear inserts.

Ben I'm sure the ones Brian used are the same as mine. The old channels need to be completely removed, including the insert pieces that go up into the latch and hinge pillars. That was the worst part of the job, grinding off the 40 or so spot welds on each side to remove the old channels. Once the old ones are off and everything is cleaned up, installation of the new ones is fairly straight forward. I pocket welded the new channels in place, they come with a number of elongated hole for this purpose. Seems like I added a few more. Big Fish38509.7984606481

Is this the main place the they are held in??  I am about to remove mine to repair some holes and seems like they are really "stuck" in there??

i went to vette products and they even confirmed that im not crazy..

I had insulation in my rocker channels..

everyone else i talked to said i was nuts..

apparently it is only for side exhaust cars...

this confirms that my car was originally a side exhaust car..

Cool. Seems we all learn something hanging around on this site. Good luck with the rocker channels. Be very careful when you weld them in place, The fiberglass in the door area gets very hot if you don't keep an eye on it.

I'm not sure what you mean by the "main place"  There are about 40 spot welds per side, some are in the back from the latch pillar insert to the channel. Most are towards the front on the large bracket that is part of the hinge pillar. I am pretty sure by the time you grind off all the welds the channels will be toast. There is also the seat belt underbody reinforcements that will need to be seperated from the channels before they can be removed. My reinforcements were also rusted out and I fabricated new ones from 10 gauge steel.
