I have one with the door panel off. I'll take a quick peek when I get home tonight and refresh my memory.

Frank, The wheels are attached to the runner that bolts on through the window. With the door panel off, you can raise or lower the window until you can see the "stop" bolts (on the vertical runners there are stops bolted in for the high and low mark) through the access holes. Mark the bolts of the upper stop before you remove them for precise replacement. Then bring the window up by hand and gently wrestle it out. It was easier said than done for me, but it's a worthy cause. I hope that helps, if not, just say so and I'll be happy to clearify.... Great looking car bro.

Wouldn't you know the vette with the panels off is the one up on the rack. Didn't get a good look at it in the dark last night. As I recall there are 2 sets of wheels involved, a pair that bolt on through the glass at the window bottom ( the only way I know of to change those out would be to remove the window). The other pair that actually raises and lowers the window can be accessed through holes in the door metal. I have that job to do too, but my hands are so big that it's very difficult for me to work in those areas, but since I can't afford to pay anyone else to do it, I'm elected.

My advice would be to purchase the 80 assembly instruction manual and take a look at the original installation.  Some of the rollers appear to snap in, others bolt up.  Some appear to need a special tool.  Insert is from Corvette Central.

Frank, unless there was a design change in 1980. The rollers on the regulator are riveted on I don't think you can find new ones and if you did it would be a heck of a time remounting them. Best bet again would be a new regulator. The rollers you mentioned on the regulator are two on top and number three is on bottom.  All go into channel assemblies, upper two and bottom one. The only other rollers is the one that mounts on the glass #283067 (in Mikes picture above) and #283068 (also in Mikes picture). These are roller guides for the window to hold it in position and with blocks control how far up the window goes. Hope I'm helping on this because I'm not sure if a 80 is the same and not sure if I'm helping or not. Anyway good luck and thanks.
