since i bought my 75, the windows always gave me problems going up. at first it appeared to be weak motors, so i replaced them. because of the draw of electric plus putting in electric fans i also put in a bigger alternator which in itself made a big difference. in ordering parts, i ordered all the new rollers but never got to work on them.

well now that the 90 is back up and running with just some minor adjustments to do, i started on the 75 windows. i took the drivers side window out and removed the tracks and regulator. i could see why the windows had so much trouble. rollers were sloppy and one was just held in place by the track. the tracks had dried grease built up in them it was amazing that the windows moved at all. and to top it all off, the mounting studs on the window bottom were loose too.

i cut the old rollers off the regulator unit and installed the new rollers. i then scraped all the dried grease and cleaned the tracks. i think that was the hardest part.

i slid the new rollers in the track and they move very easily now. tomorrow i will be reinstalling the tracks and regulator unit and window and will be using some light grease as suggested in the manual. windows should be top notch when done.

Way to go Dave, that's no easy project. I'll bet most of us have that job to do, it's just easier to put off if it ain't broke Thumbs Up.
