OK I tryied to remove the mount for the rearview mirror. Just a light tap with the dead blow and a block add I destroyed the windshield.I feel like such a tool, what's this boo boo gonna cost me?

OK, now you have to tell...my curiosity is getting the best of me. Why were you trying to remove the rearveiw mirror mount?

If it makes you feel better I shattered a $700.00 glass in our Volvo last week.  It happens !

Does your insurance cover it?

Bought a new mirror with a different mount. It was a cold day up here in Alberta, maybe that had something to do with it,who knows. About insurance covering it, the detuctable would probably be more than the glass.I need a new one in the Duramax as well, hopefully I can get the guy to bend a little on the price. I will be parking the vette soon any way, we got our first snowfall last night. Been thinking about pulling the body off the frame, blast it gusset it then powder coat it. Good winter project, along with some other goodies.
