Vette(s): had a really nice one. sold it to a good friend. Purchased 2004 custom coupe in Feb. 2009 did not tell anyone here until August 2009. BAD I KNOW.

wiper door does not work with the wiper swich or the manual override switch, and one headlight stayed up other one comes up real slow.

okay i replaced the actulator relay on the wiper door, since a mechanic found that to be leaking real bad.

that did nothing for the wiper door but took care of the headlights, they just fly up and lock into place.

any idea on where i should look next?  all hoses seem to be leak free.

thanks for the info.

I would check for vacuum at the door actuator. One line opens, the other line closes. There are many other parts in the path from the vacuum switches to the actuator for safety purposes.....relays, safety interlock on the wiper arm etc....it may be also that the goofy mechanical part is frozen too from years of neglect....try removing the rubber plug in front of the actuator, press a screw driver in the hole carefully to move the mechinism that opens the door. It should open smoothly, and be able to close by hand by pressing gently on the door. You might need the pretty pictoral that shows the complete path of the system...I can help.

I just was all through this recently, so lots of troubleshooting was done.

Since neither the override or the dash switch work, sounds like the problem is under the hood.

Let us know what you find.
