'Nudder Somethin' to keep in mind: If you're having your car judged, both the brick and the duct tape will have date codes and GM part numbers on them. You might get lucky and find them NOS on ebay.

There's a guy that advertises in the NCRS "Driveline" that can date stamp that stuff for a fee...
Also, there would be no markings on the tape itself...we would judge it by appearance only. The same thing with the bolts...we'd just have to go by configuration....
There was only one manufacturer(Acme Brick, a division of Roadrunner Missile Supply.) that supplied GM with the bricks, so yours would need to be made by that company.
Terry, just take the danged wiper off, and put ya a hood from a '73-'75 car on there, and be done with it. Ya might be able to find a RED one cheap somewhere....
Can anyone tell me why my wiper door pops up about an inch when I turn the car off? Check valve maybe? Thanks, Terry
Thats a little strange. On my 71, it takes vacuum to lift it and vacuum to close it, at any time I can pull off a hose and it sits wherever it was. I really do not have a solution to your problem, I just re bushed my wiper door and put a new actuator on it. I would guess maybe the control valve is letting some vacuum slip through where it shouldn't

OK guy's, here's the real deal. I was sittin in front of my puter readin this thread crackin up.
When Mama walked in. I said read this, which she did. when she finished she said (now here's where it gets good), "You ain't gonna do all this to our car, are you"? Well "no," I says. That would be crazy. But what I am going to do is, "screw a deadbolt (GM approved of course), and a padlock on her with 3 1/2" deck screws". "That way it will hold the door down and also keep away any thief who might try to steal our wiper blades". Well, after a good wallop upside the haid
what I've decided to do is this...................... let my wiper door open about an inch when I turn the car off.

Gotta love those blonde's
An dats all I got to say bout dat..............

OK seriously now. I pinched off the middle hoe and your right Joel, the door stayed down. Pulled check valve and you can blow air through both sides. Looks like it may be the problem. Your the best Bro. And VERY funny too I must say.
