There is an adjuster on the long rod that goes from the motor over to the pass. side arm, you'll see 2 short screws sticking up with nuts on them, they are slotted.just loosen up the nuts and you can slide the adjuster either way too adjust the wiper arm, when you get it where you want it,tighten the 2 nuts back up and WA-LA
ya got it

Hmmm...if the wiper is actually hitting the hood, the wiper arm is prolly bent/arched out away from the glass, or your wiper blades may be wrong for the car...too thick, that is. Or...the spring that holds the wiper arm/blade down on the glass may be broken, or weak...

Well, it is actually the wiper arm, where it attaches to the wiper blade. Only on the passenger side. I'm using plastic wipers and the arm is metal, from a 79.

Sometimes ya have to look hard to find the"older" style wiper blades...seems most of them now are the plastic ones. One thing I did on my '74, for Judging, was to buy new blades, and remove the rubber part from the plastic, and insert that into my original blade holders...works pretty well. That may be an option if you can't find the metal blades to fit your car...
of course, if you don't have the original metal blade holders, that little bit of info is pretty much useless, isn't it?
