Does anyone know what holds down the hardtop in the middle rear (nut, butterfly nut??)? Also I have the hardware for the hardtop that holds it down on the sides was wondering the sequence of installation? Thanks!

There is a special bracket that goes over the middle stud.  Also a flat and lock washer, then the nut. Two chrome plated bolts with a shoulder flange on it go on the bracket near the seat back. Also flat and lock washer on rear corner studs. That is the arrangement on my 72'. The hard top us on now. Does not rattle or move on body. A good idea is to purchase the clear vynal shaped gasket to put between body and top.

Corvette America has them in their catolog on page 139. All parts are available. Very good source for C3 needs.
