[QUOTE=dwright] I was thinking of getting a mini for my Vette, to hide all the stone chips I have on the front.
Do they come in RED?

the man knows his stuff. Besides why have this on to protect (not) the car for someone in the future? Enjoy your car, let the museums do the saving.

Vette(s): 1976 Silver/Firethorn. L48, 4spd. Original 2 bolt, vortec heads, 9.4:1 CR, Speed Pro Cam: 224/224@0.050, 112 LSA, Eagle Steel Crank.
When I had my car painted 10 years ago the painter recommended I replace the front bumper cover because it was slightly wavy.  (Back had a huge crack in it, I had to replace that one)  But money was tighter back then and I decided against it.  Turns out that might have been a good decision because a few years later I asked a friend to test drive it for me and he bumped it against a wall and cracked it.  So now I use the mini mask that Mid America sells (that's the only vendor I've seen that has them) - it covers up the crack AND the waves but nothing else.  You can open the hood and headlights without doing a thing to the mask and it doesn't flap at high speeds.  I don't know why the other vendors don't sell them - to me it's that perfect happy place between hippy chick and full underwire! Wink

Vette(s): Gone, but not forgotten: 1974 Coupe Red, matching numbers, Black Interior, L-48 w/ 4 speed; The “Admiral”, also gone and never to be forgotten. 1994 Admiral Blue LT-1 coupe, Black Interior Automatic
I used a bra on my '94 when Norsky and I went to Bend OR. I will never use one again. It was securely fastened to the front end and I still got grit under it resulting in vertical scratches all along the front bumper. I was able to polish most of them out. Yes, Tux, the Admiral has multiple wax coatings which make cleaning bugs off after long road trips fairly easy.

There is no substitute for low end torque!

who are you saving the paint for by putting a bra on? Not only do they chaff the paint, but I think they detract from the looks too.
