Vette(s): #1 -1969 Corvette Coupe Riverside Gold, black interior,MN,A/C,350/350,PS,PB,window cranks. #2 -2000 C5, black/black, 6 sp, Bose system & lots of buttons.
I heard from a really good source that using "Lemon Pledge" on your engine detailing and interior is way far better than Armorall and other name brand leather cleaners, etc.  It doesn't have to be Lemon scented, just the Pledge product does wonders.  Used it on my leather seats to clean and I got more dirt off using that then anything else.  You can use it on rubber, your dash, etc. Wink

GM glass cleaner is the best for cleaning the hoses and stuff in the engine compartment, too. It gets them clean, without leaving the stuff all shiny and slippery. (Judges don't like that! It gets on their hands, and then they rub it on their pants...BOO-HOO! )

Thanx for the tip there, Micki. I'll have to try that someday.

Wow, I didn't think a wax substance would be good in the engine compartment but if Joel's willing to try it, it must be okay LOL  Guess I'll give it a try this spring.

Vette(s): 1974, 454 with 4 on the floor, matching numbers.
I've used Pledge since the 60's on my vinyl interior, the stuff is great and smells pretty good.
I've never used it on my engine compartment, but I'll give it a try after hibernation season Approve

Haven't used Pledge in the garage in years but back in the 70s I used it on ALL the black enameled surfaces on my 70 Nova. Undercarriage, wheel wells, engine compartment. Everytime I smell that stuff it brings back memories!  Mike

I use Lemon Pledge as a deodorant.  Joel and Micki said I smelled lemony when we went out to dinner.  I also use it on my dog.  LOL..  just kidding, or maybe not...

No, Kevin...that's NOT what I smelled!

I've never heard of the Pledge thing...I wonder about the long-term effects on the plastics/vinyl stuff? I think I will try it on the chassis stuff, tho. I need to start cleaning the '74 for the Auto-Rama coming up soon. It ain't been cleaned since PF!!!
