Before you do any detailing you're going to want to make sure there is no grease/oil on the areas you are working with. Simple Green works well in getting these off. I've used Meguiars Cleaner Wax on my valve covers and other painted parts. Any aluminum/billet/shiny bits can be easily polished. Eagle One Nevr-Dull works great on chrome parts. I personally try and avoid too much dressing on the hoses. Just a little bit of whatever you use on your tires on a rag does the trick. There's a pic of my motor you can see by linking to the homepage URL through my profile. |toungecool|

oddly enough, mopar has a really good wax for underhood chrome. It comes in a black bottle and is a good all purpose polish for everything. It makes a car shine. Also if you want use a little armorall

I heard,I think it was,ZoopSeal that U use on chrome and it "seals" it for quite awhile,so you dont have to keep polishing it.Is this true? I 'spose its expensive... |idea|
