I have used this product on my exhaust manifold and other raw cast iron parts ( steering box, brake master cylinder). the product is CALYX.
You should be able to get it from any of the Corvette parts houses.

I'll tell you what it looked like. I saw his car in Carson City and the exhaust manifold and master cylinder looked bran spanking new. Honestly I had never seen a exhaust manifold on an older car that looked like it had just been put on. It's amazing stuff

Steve, how long have you had that stuff on the exhaust?
I agree it looks great, but...I've also seen the same product after some time, and it starts flaking off. A lot of it may depend on how well the manifolds were prepped, tho.
Now, on the master cyl, it should last a long time, and it do look gud!
I've been wanting to get some of the stuff, but the ones I've seen that flake off just makes me a bit leery of it.
I've also used powdered graphite, mixed with some mineral spirits, brushed on the manifolds, and that works really well, too, but it is a bit darker in color than the Calyx. It does match the color of raw, heated cast iron.

I have had used the product for about 15 years. You do have to re-apply this product. It will burn off a bit, because of the high temp. of the manifold. So a little redo is in order. The hard part is just take a small welders wire brush (stainless steel works best) to get the rust scale off the manifold. That gives you a nice clean surface to apply the past type product. This product has never "flaked off", just went away a bit. Now is the time to reapply. The color or sheen is just like raw cast iron.
Get it from Ecklers or Zip Products.
