Vette(s): 1980 L-82 Automatic, White with Claret interior, pw, pl, mirrored glass t-tops...22,000 original miles
I've been having troubles keeping the inside of my windshield clean this summer...it seems that all the dust this summer keeps it looking a little fuzzy and distorted...any recommendations? |headscratch|

Vette(s): 1979, 350sb, as my kids affectionately call it "shit brown" Corvette purchased in 1996. 84,000+ miles. Not a show car, but I love her just the same.
If you can use products like RainX, etc. on the outside of the windshield, why not the interior? Most of these products say they repel dirt and grit and such anyway.

I use Stoner's Invisible Glass cleaner. About $3.99 at autozone. Best stuff I have ever used. |biggrin|

Had a friend tell me he used RainX once on the inside of his windshield, biggest mistake he'd ever made. That stuff doesn't come clean easily.

I put it on the outside mirrors of a car a long time ago and hated it. The water beaded up nicely, but wouldn't run off. Couldn't see squat out of the mirrors. I'll never do that again.

Vette(s): 1979 Black coupe. 11256 original, documented, miles on it when I bought it in April of 2000. It now has 13100 on it. Oyster interior, like new. Everything original, everything works, except the clock. Paint has a couple of minor flaws.

You guys are going to think I'm nuts, but here goes. A few years ago, I read in an auto magazine about getting the windshield really clean. There was an article about using Bon-Ami cleanser on it. Evidently it is very fine as far as abrasives are concerned. I tried it, and the article was right on. It cleaned all of the polution, and road grime off, and did not scratch the window. It worked great for me. I wish I had kept the article. |cheers|

I have a can in the garage on the shelf at all times... |thumb|

I've also used BonAmi and it works quite well. Just make sure you use enough water. Its also a bit messy too... |cheers|

Stoner's Invisible Glass gets my vote--and NO not because I grew up in the 60's |smokin|.

This stuff seems to really work better than anything else I've tried over about 30 years.

I have found that using any glass cleaner with ammonia is good. The trick is to use 00 or 000 steel wool. It makes the glass like new. Tip for those with after market tint. Ammoniated glass cleaner with loosen the adhesive on the tint. Use an alcohol base cleaner. |thumb|

BonAmi is actually approved for use on windshields by either PPG or LOF. I forget which one. It is very mild but yet cleans dirt and road grime quite well. Awesome stuff.
