Low miles (was only 8,900 when I bought it in March 2006) - Now 54K miles. Original owner bought it as an investment for son's college expenses.

A friend at work was talking to me about buying a Turtle Wax cleaner for headlights. You know, the plastic lenses that tend to fog up or get dark over time on newer cars. He told me that it consisted of a cleaner, and then if that didn't do the trick, there was a second step that essentially sanded down the affected areas.
I wondered if this sort of thing would work on my 35 year old convertible rear window. I have used a number of cleaners on it, but I still have spots that are yellowed, foggy, etc.
He gave me the kit, and I was thinking I would try it on a small spot to see how it worked, but I figured it couldn't hurt to ask about it here first. Anyone ever use this stuff or have an opinion on how/if it might work on the window?
I wanted a Corvette my whole life, but I never dreamed of all the wonderful people I would meet because of it!

Vette(s): 1972 conv, 4-speed, 350, 200hp, numbers match, rally wheels, war bonnett yellow w/white top. good condition, nice driver.
I have used a product called, "PLASTIX". It is used for motorcycle windshields. Does a great job. Not sure of brand, but believe it may be maguires. Try a motorcycle shop, they will have something I am sure.

Plastix is one of the ones I've used. It did great, but didn't get everything

I too have used this and it does work. Made By Meguiar's.

Well, the cleaner did take out the existing marks, but it made new ones. I did it in a small area, out of the way, so no harm no foul, but my advice is not to try this direction.
