Vette(s): 1978 Black with Viking mural painted under hood AM/FM/CB radio, T-top and a 2013 Cyber Gray Grand Sport Coupe, 2LT for my daily driver
I have always been a Meguiars fan. Last year I tired a new product made by Turtle Wax. It was a spray detailer made for black cars. The first time I tried it, I looked at my cloth and almost fainted. I thought that I had eaten into the finish, because there was black on the cloth...WELL...the spary is tinted black. The past Saturday, I went to Advance Auto for some good, ol, Meguiars paste wax. I saw that Turtle Wax now has a two step black car polish/wax kit. Wax typically does not make a car shine, you need polish for that. Polish has a thicker viscoscity and leaves a smoother finish for the light to reflect off of. This new polish was THICK and black. You need to use the black tinted spray detailer to help remove this coat after it hazes. Then the wax is applied and that too is tinted black and again, using the black tinted spray detailer helped to remove the wax. My car has the brighest shine that I have ever seen on it! One additional plus, you do not have the typical tan wax stuck in the crevices and have to dig it out. If you miss some, no one will see it!
An ATTA-BOY for Clint.....he took first place for the C2 convertible class in a BIG car show over the weekend.

Peace out,
David

Vette(s): 1982 C3 Collectors Edition 44000 miles, sat in the sun most of its life, My wife purchased it for me for Father's Day in 2007 from her girlfriend that had it for 19 years. It is on the road again. I'm retired but it is now my daily driver.
I could give you that deep gray color that every car owner is trying to achieve. Provide accents to those crevasses.
I bought the kit called "Black Box" made by Turtle Wax last year to use on my black truck. It included a prewax, a wax and 2 bottles of detail spray. The 5 year old paint looks like new again. All of the little surface scratches completely dissapeared. Great stuff!! I think the kit was about $20.00 Autozone.

Thanks Daves for the tip. I'll give it a try.

Black - the color I love but after one 2 I vowed to never have another one. We covered Dave's car with fingerprints when we put the hood back on. I saw it 2 days later and it was stunning !
