Vette(s): Silver 1974 Convertible - L82 4 speed
Low miles (was only 8,900 when I bought it in March 2006) - Now 54K miles. Original owner bought it as an investment for son's college expenses.

I've got a few parts that I'd like to "restore." I've got some C3 emblems and some ralley wheel center caps/hats (original parts, not repros). Basically the paint has faded over the years or chipped off. Mainly, it's the black, but I do have some crossed flags that will need some red.

Any suggestions on the best way(s) to do this? Brand and paint colors? Any particular techniques to applying the paint? I bought most of the items with the intent of keeping them as spares, but some I might like to turn on e-bay for a profit (I have five center caps, multiple corssed flags and a few "Stingray" emblems).
I wanted a Corvette my whole life, but I never dreamed of all the wonderful people I would meet because of it!

Walmart sells semi gloss Krylon paint that is the correct gloss. Just clean, mask, and spray. There are several different shades of red, so you might have to mix your own. Most red is in enclosed areas on trim, so you can thin the paint and flow it in.

Vette(s): 1972 conv, 4-speed, 350, 200hp, numbers match, rally wheels, war bonnett yellow w/white top. good condition, nice driver.
I Cleaned mine with 4-0 steel wool and used Testors Model paint with a tooth pick to fill in the cross flags. May not be correct gloss, but look very nice. Enamel and will stay durable.
