I use Griot's Garage Best of Show Wax. Best stuff I've ever used. I used to use Mequiar's Gold Class and Griot's is superior. I've heard many good things about Zymol and Zaino, but have no experience with either.

Most of the folks in our local vette club swear by Zaino Brothers. I haven't tried it yet myself - but will soon.

Vette(s): 1974, 454 with 4 on the floor, matching numbers.

I've used about all of them except for Zaino & Griots. To be honest I really didn't notice that much of a difference, except for the prices. (I have a small fortune invested in waxes)The best suggestion I can give is to clay bar the car first. I did this then I used Zymol & then Zymol's Enhancer, the car looked great.

If I recall there was a recent posting on wax comparison and Turtle Wax gave the best result. They (Turtle Wax) now have a new wax called Ice, I will be trying that next and post the results.

I've used Meguiar's three-step process on our black '96 for the last ten
years, and while it's a considerable amount of work, it's been well worth
the effort. The protection is really superior, and will last through
washings and heavy rainstorms (yeah, I'm one of those guys who actually
DO drive their cars in the rain--no choice when it's your only car, as it
was for many years, but I would have anyways!)

I haven't tried the more 'specialized' brands, like those listed above, but
given today's technology, I'd feel confident that any of them would offer
premium results. In the final analysis, I think it's probably like so much
else in life (and Vette ownership!)--you get out what you're willing to put
into it. So I opt for the more expensive/labor intensive approach. I'm sure
there are exceptions to that rule, but I prefer to invest upfront in the
product and the work and enjoy the back-end benefits.

Plus, nothing's too good for my pride 'n joy! (And when the '78 gets
finished--oh, what a happy day that will be! Hope I live long enough to
see it!), I expect we'll be applying the three-coater job to that as well,
once the new paint has cured...

Reality!!!

You can't really answer that question unless yourself tries all the waxes available and compare by your judgment alone.   I've found out in websites and wax websites that I'm on, that everyone will tell you what they use and how good it is.   Not to hurt anyone but it's true.

I will tell you I use Meguiar's more then Mother's, Turtle Wax and Zaino.  To me all are good.   I'm just looking for which one lasts longer.   And most of them lasts about 1 1/2 weeks with only one coat because of my driving style.  Mostly people wash, prep, polish and wax to make the vehicle looking sharp.

Good Luck with your pick.
