Can anyone recommend a good quality, detailed & complete shop/service manual for my '79 corvette? I've seen several listed online for various amounts & formats (ie hard copy vs CD). I've had service manuals in the past that have been less than complete and am looking for a good recommendation.
Thanks,
Jim

Hi Jim and Welcome to C3VR,
You'll find the manuals are stronger in some areas than others. I asked the same question a couple months ago for my '69. What I've been doing is buying several manuals from our different supporting suppliers. I just ordered Corvette, 1966-1982: Shop Manual (Motorbooks Workshop). It's not too expensive.

Hey again..the shop manual I use are the factory ones from GM..there can be two of them one shop and one repair..can usually find them online or at car swap meets from one of the book guys..might be 50$ for both and it covers more than you should need..if you find you need more I have the AIM also..as it shows every part and number of the car..

I've heard the same. The factory manuals are the ones to get.
Any recommendations for where to find these online?
I can Google this and find somewhere, but if there's a site/vendor that you or someone else has already used and know is good, I'd rather use them.

I found a manual for my 1981 on EBay. I payed $30.00 for mine. I think I got a good deal.
