Vette(s): White '79 Corvette. It's a driver.
Tomorrow's the day! I'm gonna get my '79 out of the garage for a quick dust off and an oil change.
Then my son and I will probably pop a Led Zep tape in the cassette deck and go for a ride.
Can't wait! Its been a long, cold winter. Spring is definitely starting around here. Tomorrow should be in the high 50's with sun.
All that other 'To Do" stuff can wait. I'll be driving my Corvette.

Lol!  Straying off topic a bit...  I was helping family members tear down an old camp a couple of weekends ago.  When we pulled the carpet up, I found one of these underneath:

The 40-somethings and above in attendance passed it around ooohing and aaahing over it like it was a new found copy of the Magna Carta.  The under 40's had no idea what it was.

It may end up on a chain around the rear-view of the Vette.

Talk about Spring Fever.  After being on jack stands for the past 4 years, this week I'm finally getting my '73 to the alignment shop.  Then all it needs is a new hood and I'll be "Having Fun All Summer Long"!

The yellow circular gizzmo is an insert for a 45rpm record that will enable someone to play a single record on a turntable with out the large 45 adapter ( for many 45's@ a time) Just call me Gramp's Big Al. Aka ancient one

Had a great ride!
After installing the K&N oil filter and pouring in the 10w30 + some Zinc additive, off we went.
Man! There's nothing like the first ride of the season! It never gets old owning a Corvette.
And yes, the cassette deck was blaring Led Zep and then Stevie Ray.
My 20 year old son just can't figure out how something so primative looking as a cassette tape could actually produce music. After a while he did'nt care though. I saw his foot tappin'.
I hope the rest of you can get yours' out soon enough if you have'nt already.

Kevin

Vette(s): SOLD - "The Toy" - '70 Convertible
SOLD - "The Beast" - '90 ZR-1 (#682)
SOLD - "Betty" - '28 Ford Model A Tudor
Sold - "BLKBRRD" - '78 Pontiac Trans Am
"BLUBYU" - '04 Coupe
Spent the afternoon working in the garage with all the doors open for the first time this year.  After doing some spring maintenance on "The Toy" I rolled her out into the sunshine and let her run for awhile.  Still too much winter crud (salt, sand, etc) on the roads to go for a spin but it was nice to hear the exhaust rumble.

The Model A is on casters so while "The Toy" was out in the sunshine I rotated "Betty" around so I could put the left rear fender back on (pulled it last fall to have a major dent straightened out and then repainted).

Even tho' I didn't get out for a spin it was still an enjoyable afternoon...!!!

btw - glad you enjoyed the drive with your son...!!!
